The Work Well Training Institute
WorkWell's Training Institute offers an extensive library of in-demand topics that can be delivered on-site for your employees or to the community at-large. These trainings promote healthy, productive workforces, communities, and can be provided as a complement to or independent of the Employee Assistance Program. Training categories include the following and can be customized to meet specific needs of the audience:
- For the Helping Professional: This clinical training library has been specially curated in support of behavioral health service providers such as counselors, social workers, case managers, qualified mental health specialists, peer support specialists, prevention professionals, and nurses.
- Leadership Development: Our Leadership trainings have been crafted to elevate managerial capacity and to support emerging leaders. Commonly presented titles include Conflict Resolution, Management vs. Leadership, and Teamwork.
- Personal Development & Wellness: This catalog includes a variety of holistic health options to promote work-life harmony and proactive well-being.
- Professional Development: These trainings were designed to foster high performance, communication, and workplace cohesion to help you stay competitive in today's market.
- Workplace Compliance: From Cultural Humility to Workplace Violence Prevention, WorkWell is your partner in workplace compliance training. Additionally, WorkWell is an approved Substance Use Prevention and Recovery Vendor by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
Additional Training Services:
- Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA): MHFA is an evidence-based, internally recognized, skills-based training designed for adults in the general public, including people working in schools, faith communities and businesses, as well as key professionals such as police officers, paramedics, primary care workers, and human resource employees. The MHFA training curriculum, developed by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, has been customized for specific audiences and community needs. WorkWell offers both Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid courses. These trainings can be provided fully in-person or blended with self-paced online content followed by an instructor-led portion. MHFA is a total of 6.5 to 7.5 content hours taught by nationally certified WorkWell instructors.
- Adult Mental Health First Aid teaches any adult how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis in adults ages 18 and over.
- Youth Mental Health First Aid is open to any adult to interacts with or cares for adolescents (ages 12-18). This course is designed specifically to teach parents, guardians, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, administrators, coaches, camp counselors, youth group leaders, neighbors, and health and human services workers how to identify , understand, and respond to an adolescent who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis.
- QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer - Suicide Assessment): This 1-to-2-hour evidence-based training helps participants recognize signs of suicidal ideation and equips participants with the information they need to intervene in ways to help suicidal individuals get the professional help they need. Anyone who is in a position to recognize a crisis and warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide should consider attending this training.
